How to Set Up Email on an Android-Based Device 
This article will show you how to set up email on the Gmail app for the Android OS.

Note: If you have an older Android device that uses the Email app, follow these instructions instead

  • Add a New Email Account
  • Incoming Mail Server
  • Outgoing Mail Server
  • Account Options
Add a New Email Account
  1. Open the Gmail app and navigate to the Settings section.
  2. Tap Add account.
  3. Tap Personal (IMAP/POP) and then Next.
  4. Enter your full email address and tap Next.
  5. Choose the type of email account you will be using.
    • POP3 will download the emails from the server and store them on your phone.
    • IMAP will store the emails on the server and show a cached copy on your phone. IMAP is best in most cases.
    • Exchange is not supported because it requires a Microsoft Exchange server
  6. Enter the password for your email address and tap Next.
Incoming Server Settings
  1. Username: Enter your full email address
  2. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  3. Server: This is your domain name preceded by "mail." like mail.example.com.
  4. Port and Security Type:
    • If you're using POP, choose either:
      • Secure - Port: 995 and Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
      • Insecure - Port: 110 and Security Type: None
    • If you're using IMAP, choose either:
      • Secure - Port: 993 and Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
      • Insecure - Port: 143 and Security Type: None (Accept all certificates)
  5. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.
Outgoing Server Settings
  1. Select Require Sign-In.
  2. Username: Enter your full email address
  3. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  4. Server: This is your domain name preceded by  mail.pamc.rentals
  5. For SMTP Port and Security Type, choose either:
    • Secure - Port: 465 and Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)
    • Insecure - Port: 26 and Security Type: None (Accept all certificates)
  6. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.
Account Options
  1. Email Checking Frequency: Set how often you would like your device to check for new emails.
    Note: The more regularly your device checks for new emails the more it drains your battery.
  2. Notify me when email arrives: Leave this checked if you would like to be notified of new emails.
  3. Sync email from this account: Leave this checked if you want email to be checked automatically.
  4. Tap Next.

Email setup on iOS Devices Summary.
This article will show you how to setup email on your iOS based device. This process will work on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. While the screen shots are from an iPhone running iOS the same settings should work on any iOS device.

To get the correct settings for your email account, login to your Bluehost hosting account and go to my.BlueHost.com/cgi/email_manager/config.

How to configure your iOS device
  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Choose Other
  5. Choose Add Mail Account
New Account Information
  1. Enter your Name
  2. Enter your email address as the Address
  3. Enter the password for your email address
  4. Tap Next
Incoming Mail Server
  • Host Name: This is typically your domain name preceded by "mail.pamc.rentals". This can be found in the E-mail Accounts section of the cPanel, under More > Configure Mail Client.
  • User Name: Your email address.
  • Password: The password for your email address.
Outgoing Mail Server
    Although iOS may indicate these fields as optional, please enter your full email address and password 

  • Host Name: This is the same as the incoming server. is  mail.pamc.rentals
  • User Name: This is required and again is your email address.
  • Password: The password for your email address.
  • Tap Next.
Cannot Verify Server Identity This error message occurs because the certificate is for *.BlueHost.com instead of your domain. Click continue to accept the certificate.Mail and Notes The final screen will ask if you want mail and notes turned on for this account. Leave them both on and tap Save.

  1. Leave Mail and Notes set to on.
  2. Tap Save.
How to store Sent, Drafts and Trash on the serverTo do this please go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  1. Choose your email account
  2. Tap Advanced
  3. Under Mailbox Behaviors choose the mailbox you wish to configure.
